As the on-air host for the pre-race and race start webcast of this year's Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race in southern Utah, I interviewed athletes during their gear check-in and skills testing at race headquarters in Moab, UT - and at the race start in Price Canyon. The excessive heat, pushing past 100 most days, was their biggest concern. But teams were excited to pedal in the mountain biking Mecca around Moab, splash in the whitewater, and ascend and rappel the record 8-miles of ropes slung within the red canyon walls. The race, that will take some teams upward of 10-days to complete, started on horseback in Price Canyon on June 25th and ends on July 4th.
